Remove the battery and unplug the laptop from the power source. Place the battery back into the laptop after a few seconds and power on the laptop again. If the setup outlined above does not work, the issue maybe related to a corrupt Operating System or other hardware failure.
1. Try Changing the refresh rate: Right Click anywhere on the Desktop -> Select Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor. Change to desired refresh rate and try again.
2. Update video driver from manufacturers website.
Most likely cause is a driver that is being loaded as Windows starts up. Try booting in Safe Mode. If the PC starts in Safe Mode: Remove any programs that you may have installed recently.
Inorder to start a computer in Safe Mode, press the F8 key intermittently while the computer is starting up but before you see the Windows Splash Screen.
